Dear citizens of Baboonia

Here we are again with our monthly newsletter. We hope you will enjoy it!

 

5 years after coup

It has been five years since Baboonia got rid of the previous

corrupt regime. On the 4th of April, the exact day of the coup,

there will be a military parade in Aniam to honour

Frederico Fronca. After the parade, Fronca will give a speech

on the balcony of the city hall of Aniam.

The speech will be broadcast live on television.

Baboon Day

The day we have all been waiting for is finally here again: Baboon Day. To celebrate our unique Baboon Island, lots of events will be organised on the 18th of April. True to tradition, the Baboonians can enjoy a free breakfast in the city halls of each city or town from 7 until 10 am. During the day, people can go to Baboon Island to feed the baboons their favourite food: salmon. In the evening, a major barbecue is organised for and by the citizens of Baboonia. We end the day with a beach party on Baboon Island where reggae music will be played until the early hours.

 

Law against animal poaching

Exactly one week after Baboon Day, on the 25th of April, head of state

Frederico Fronca will decide whether he approves the bill concerning

the abolition of animal poaching or not. In case he approves,

all kinds of animal poaching will be forbidden and those who infringe

the law will be punished with a fine or even imprisonment.
